Adobe suite works with all its features and Corel is happy as well and everything is nice and fast.Īpple has also pissed off a bunch of video editors recently with unannounced irreversible changes to Final Cut features so there are quite a few of them moving to Adobe Premier and PC's with the added benefit that PC's are way cheaper and more upgradable.I am surprised that Graphic Designers who "create" the brands that change peoples buying habits have fallen so hard for the Apple mumbo jumbo.Adobe has even distanced themselves from Apple due to overlapping turf wars and Apples habit of expanding their own feature set to include partner functionality. Using Windows 8 was a little weird till I installed "Classic Shell" and now it behaves just like windows7. SOOO.I went back to PC and cant be happier.I bought a new Dell XPS i7 with 16g ram and a 4 gig video card for $1100 and hooked it up to a 48" lcd flatscreen.

I buckled to the pressure and bought a Mack Book Pro a couple years ago and signed up for Adobe CC.When I went to the mac I found a bunch of really stupid Illustrator quirks that still havent been fixed since version 3 and ended up using Corel/Windows7 in Parallels. This is SLOW for every day use unless you have a very expensive Mac with lots of resources.but I tried to use adobe because "Its the thing to do" until one day the 3d features of photoshop wouldn't work (greyed out menu). After some googling I found out that Adobe had "Strengthened their hardware requirements" in the latest update and the MBP I had no longer met the requirements. Now you needed a graphics card with atleast 500mg of DEDICATED video ram.All but the most expensive 17" Mac Book Pro use integrated Microsoft video cards (beware, even Imacs have integrated cards if you get the cheap one) that are incompatible with the 3d features of Photoshop (all you will see is a greyed out menu).even the most expensive 17" MBP just barely meets the requirements. The new MAC PRO desktop would surely run them, but at a baseline price of $3000+.So I waited with no 3d features.and then the hard drive died on the MBP.
